* Sissipahaw Traditional Archers is a traditional archery club. Bows considered to have a mechanical advantage using wheels, pulleys, or cams are prohibited.
* Non members are required by the club insurer to sign a waiver of liability in order to shoot at the club. The parent or guardian is required to sign for minors.
* No shooting is permitted by non members when the range is closed. When the cable across the entrance to the club is up the range is considered closed. Members are responsible for supervising guests when shooting at the range when the range is closed.
* Vehicles should be parked in designated parking areas only.
* Children under the age of 16 must be directly supervised by an adult over the age of 21 at all times while shooting in the range. The kid’s range is for kids under the age of 16 only.
* Target Range Safety: When shooting on the target range in particular, check that all archers on the shooting line have stopped shooting and it is clear to retrieve arrows from the targets. Verify that it is safe to proceed by yelling, "CLEAR?" along the shooting line, and do not advance until you have confirmation from all archers that is clear to proceed. Likewise, when preparing to shoot, ensure that there is no one down range before shooting. Verify visually for unattended equipment at the shooting line or equipment/clothing placed in front of a target, or any other clues that may indicate that someone may be down range. Confirm by yelling, "IS ANYONE DOWN RANGE?", if you have the slightest doubt as to whether it's safe to shoot.
* Pets must be on a leash and controlled by their owner.
* When retrieving arrows from behind the targets, always leave your bow in front of the target if shooting alone, or have someone stand in front of the target, to alert other archers to your presence.
* Broadheads are not permitted to be shot on the range.
* Enter the walk-through range courses at designated entry points only.
* NEVER back track on the trails of the walk-through range courses. Always proceed forward on the trails to exit.
* Shooting is only allowed from within the established shooting lanes. Shooting is not allowed beyond the furthest shooting stake or from the brush and trees for any reason. Return all arrows you may find on the range to the clubhouse. Do not use someone else's arrows and DO NOT SHOOT BROKEN ARROWS; it is very dangerous and may cause injury to yourself and/or others!
* “Stumpshooting” or “roving” is prohibited on those days when the club hosts public tournaments.
* Non members are prohibited from operating equipment associated with mechanically operated targets, target retrieval vehicles, lawn maintenance equipment and target setup and removal.
* Please do not litter! Return all aluminum cans, broken arrows and trash to the trash receptacles at the clubhouse.
* Use care when smoking on the range. Anyone causing damage to the range due to careless smoking will be held personally liable.
* Please use courtesy at all times on all ranges. Represent archers and archery in a respectable and appropriate manner.
